Alan Rickman, das große Talent mit boshaftem Charme, ist im Alter von 69 Jahren an Krebs gestorben. Allen Harry Potter Fans – inklusive mir – wird Rickman als Professor Snape unvergesslich bleiben. Auf Arbeit erreicht mich eine SMS „Snape ist tot.“

Mich schockte die Nachricht. Wenige kannten den richtigen Namen des Schauspielers, aber alle liebten seine Boshaftigkeit, die immer witzig, scharfsinnig und auch höhnisch war. Das Social Web, vor allem Twitter und Instagram, wurde überschwemmt von Trauerbekundungen.

Den Tod nahm ich als Anlass für eine Snape Illustration. Und da wir nun schon bei Harry Potter sind, möchte ich euch noch einen Geheimtipp geben. Denn Großbritannien ist voll von Orten, an denen Harry Potter gedreht wurde – von den wilden schottischen Highlands, in denen Hagrids Hütte gefilmt wurde, bis hin zu dem historischen Londoner Markt, der für die Aufnahmen der Winkelgasse genutzt wurde.

Meine kostenlose Harry Potter Empfehlung in London ist das Gleis 9 ¾ am Bahnhof „Kings Cross“ – für jeden Harry Potter Fan ein zauberhaftes Muss. Kings Cross ist einer der Hauptbahnhöfe Londons. Es ist zwar nicht möglich, von dort mit dem Zug nach Hogwarts zu reisen. Aber mit etwas Geduld könnt ihr ein Foto im Gryffindor Schal mitsamt halbem Gepäckwagen machen, der in der Säule verschwindet. Gleich daneben gibt es einen zauberhaften Shop, in dem ihr Artikel rund um die Bücher und Filme kaufen könnt.

Actor Alan Rickman, known for films including Harry Potter, has died at the age of 69, his family has said. The star had been suffering from cancer, a statement said.
He became one of Britain’s best-loved acting stars thanks to roles including Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films. Harry Potter author JK Rowling led the tributes, describing him as „a magnificent actor and a wonderful man“.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you know Platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross Station in London, the station where the Hogwarts departs via the Hogwarts Express. In response to the worldwide popularity of Harry Potter, years ago Kings Cross installed an actual 9 ¾ sign and a half trolley lodged in a wall so fans could visit the station and take fun pictures. However, with the station doing a massive renovation over the past few years, they just opened a new Harry Potter themed shop near the Platform 9 3/4 sign that’s loaded with Potter gifts. Check out the shop and take a bunch of pictures!
